Oxalic acid dihydrate is approved for used in a vaporizer (sublimation via heat) or mixed with a sugar syrup and dribbled or sprayed on the bees. Can be used with honey supers on the hive. Oxalic acid dihydrate is most effective when little or no brood is present such as on packages, swarms or during natural or artificial brood cycle breaks. When capped brood is present multiple applications may bee needed. Follow the label.
Manufactured by Mike’s Bees LLC, the only U.S. based company to register Oxalic Acid tablets with the E.P.A. as an approved treatment for Varroa mite control on honeybees. Now EPA Approved for a 4 gram treatment per deep hive body with the vaporizer treatment (as of 1/27/2026).
