More easily mark your queens, even with gloves on. Capture the queen in the tube and carefully press the plunger to immobilize the queen with her thorax in a square of the mesh. Mark her with a paint pen then release the queen. It does take some patience, but with practice, it should only take a few minutes and makes it possible for nearly any beekeeper to mark a queen.
